Our Mission

At Antietam Valley Animal Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional, compassionate care for every pet and personalized support for every owner. With a focus on quality medicine, clear communication, and genuine kindness, we strive to keep your pets healthy, happy, and thriving at every stage of life.

SeungJun Lee, DVM, MS

Dr. Lee brings over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine. After serving as an officer in the Korean Army, he earned a Master’s in Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2008. He has provided emergency care in South Carolina and Pennsylvania, and held leadership roles as an Associate Doctor and Medical Director. In 2016, he became the owner of Antietam Valley Animal Hospital, where he continues to practice with compassion and skill. His clinical interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, and orthopedic surgery—especially TPLO procedures.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Lee enjoys biking, running, and spending time with his energetic family—his children Ayden and Khloe, his Jack Russell Terrier, Lulu, and his beautiful wife Halle.

Dr. Haiwon Song, DVM

Dr. Song joins Antietam Valley Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian after two years working alongside the AVAH team. She recently completed her Evaluated Clinical Experience at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She is licensed in Pennsylvania and Maryland and is a USDA-accredited veterinarian in PA. Her clinical interests include general practice medicine and surgery and preventive medicine, and she has a special interest in dentistry and senior pet care. She is certified as a Fear Free Professional, a Cat Friendly Veterinarian, and a Senior Dog Certified Veterinary Professional, and is CPR certified (RECOVER BLS and ALS Rescuer).

Outside the clinic, Dr. Song enjoys time with her husband Michael, their two children, and their cat Kerry. Her interest in senior pet care is personal as well as professional — her family dog in Korea, Mr. Dodol, is now 16. When time allows, she rows on the Schuylkill River, listens to nerdy health podcasts, and settles in with a good mystery novel. She is very excited to join the team at Antietam Valley!
